Safeguarding at Rowans Day Nursery

At Rowans Day Nursery we have robust safeguarding policies and procedures in place to protect your children and our staff to keep everyone safe. Management ensure that when it comes to Child protection we train and update our staff team yearly and complete regular support sessions and questionnaires to ensure staff maintain and keep abreast of protecting children.

At Rowans we always have a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) available to discuss any concerns a staff, child or parent raise and support families throughout the process. We have a duty of care to report any concerns and we inform parents to be aware of our policies and procedures which are available in the parent hub.

There is a Safeguarding board situated in the pre-school main entrance for parents and staff to be aware of who the DSL’s are and any supporting literature. We do ask parents when collecting and dropping off your children to not use mobiles phones or camera devices whilst in the premises.

If you want to know more about how we safeguard your children at Rowans Day Nursery, please speak to any one of our management team who will be able to provide you with more information.
